As a visionary entrepreneur, she has indelibly influenced both corporate and retail arenas with her innovative approach. Notably, Maxine was the driving force behind a revered floral design studio in Yaletown, where her creativity flourished, earning widespread acclaim for her captivating designs, including the iconic ‘Grinch Tree’ that became a beloved symbol in Vancouver. Beyond her entrepreneurial ventures, Maxine’s philanthropic spirit has propelled her to actively engage in community initiatives, leveraging her skills to champion causes close to her heart.

In 2020, Maxine charted a new course, pivoting her career toward the non-profit realm. Here, she excelled in spearheading philanthropic endeavors, nurturing pivotal donor relationships for prominent Vancouver charities. Concurrently, she honed her skills, earning distinction in Fundraising Management through BCIT’s certificate program, and proudly joined AFP as a member.

Maxine’s commitment to mental health advocacy took a significant step forward in 2021 when she joined Anxiety Canada as the Fund Development Manager. Recognizing her strategic prowess and unwavering dedication, she swiftly ascended within the organization, earning a promotion to Senior Manager of Fund Development and Communications in 2022. In this elevated role, Maxine continues to leverage her philanthropic expertise and marketing acumen to drive impactful initiatives, amplifying awareness and support for mental health initiatives nationwide.
